Arguing Middle Classness

This piece from the NYT takes candidates to task for using $250,000 as a benchmark for “middle class”, pointing to the vast number of people living far below that income level.

As might be predicted, many of the comments focus instead on how $250,000 is not high income in many regions — because of course there are always those who make much more.
