Education and Class

Reading this article about a Tory politician calling policemen doing their job  “plebs” makes me sort of  wish for such open and frank class distinctions in the U.S.   Perhaps instead of politicians using euphemisms about people  being “entitled” or “victims” to characterize the poor and working-class, some good old-fashioned name calling would spark more direct and more honest conversation about the classism that  frames so much political discourse.
